If ready-to-use syrups are not preferred, all our flavors are available in concentrate form. This is a much more economical way for higher volume business to operate. When using flavor concentrates, you can cut your syrup cost by about 70% to 80% by making your own snow cone or shaved ice syrup at home. Simply purchase the desired flavor concentrates, add simple syrup (see recipe below) and you are ready to go. A quart of shaved ice or snow cone concentrate will flavor 8 gallons of syrup or 32 quarts. A gallon of shaved ice or snow cone concentrate will flavor 32 gallons of syrup or 128 quarts.
If you plan to purchase concentrates and mix your own syrup, there will be some additional equipment that you will need to purchase. We stock a complete line of mixing equipment that will help you get the job done. Listed next are some of the mixing equipment that you will find helpful.
Plastic Long Neck Quart Bottle
These shaved ice and snow cone syrup bottles are great for storing and dispensing syrup. We suggest keeping at least 2 or more bottles per flavor on hand at all times. These bottles can be washed and reused over and over. Virtually indestructible! Caps for available.
Plastic Gallon Jug with Handle
These heavy-duty round plastic gallon jugs are great for storing simple syrup (sugar water), ready-to-use syrup, flavor concentrates, cleaning solutions etc. The uses are endless. As always, keep some spare gallon jugs on hand for backups. Caps for each jug are also available.
Mylar Flavor Labels
These high density synthetic flavor labels are great to use for labeling and identifying all your concentrates and ready-to-use syrups. Our Mylar flavor labels are moisture and flavor resistant. Each label is 3” by 1” and has a white background with red font. These labels give your bottles a very professional look.
Batch Mixing Containers with Lid, Spout
These mixing tanks are specially designed to help make sugar water in large quantities. Depending on the size of the mixing container purchased you can make from 1 to 32 gallons of sugar water at a time. Bottling syrup is a breeze with the high volume Tomlinson spigot. Some assembly required. These mixing containers are available in 10, 20 or 32 gallons. A must for any busy business.
Mixing Paddle
Our stainless steel mixing paddle will make mixing large batches of simple syrup a breeze. A must have for any successful snow cone or shaved ice business. Easy to clean and durable, this paddle will last a lifetime.
Rubbermaid Measuring Cups
A must to have! Our heavy duty Rubbermaid measuring cup works great. The easy to read graduated cup makes measuring concentrates and syrup a snap. We suggest keeping several on hand.
Squeeze Dispensing Bottles
Our dispensing squeeze bottles are a must for any successful shaved ice business. These dispensing bottles allow you to measure one ounce of snow cone or shaved ice concentrate or preservatives each time without spillage or loss of product.
Simply, loosen the cap from the dispensing chamber, squeeze bottle to fill measuring chamber, and dispense concentrate in perfect one ounce portions. Buy at least one per flavor and keep some on hand.
Bottle Washer
Make cleaning your bottles a breeze with our single head bottle washer. The bottle washer directs a powerful stream of water from your faucet into any of our bottles.
