Glycol for Block Ice Makers

Propylene glycol is used in conjunction with our block ice makers as the freezing agent. Mixing 50% glycol with 50% water allows the water in each block ice mold to freeze without actually freezing the water inside the basin of the machine. Simply blend the two components and pour into the bottom of the machine. 1-800-Shaved-Ice carries glycol in 5-gallon pails or in 55-gallon drums.
