Slushie Flavors with Shaved Ice Syrup
Oftentimes existing businesses like coffee shops or convenient stores expand to carry other products. Typically, slushes work great for these types of businesses. The cool treats are refreshing, yet don’t have to be made as ordered or tended to often. Slush often times called slushy, slushee, slushie, icee, or icey’s are flavored frozen treats just like snow cones and shaved ice, only thinner in texture to drink with a straw.
If you are adding slushies to your already existing business, then you’ve come to the right place. 1-800-Shaved-Ice has a wide variety of affordable priced flavored syrups that can be used for snow cones, shaved ice, and even slush.
To begin serving slushies or granitas, you’ll need to calculate how much syrup and water you need to add to your slush machine. 1-800-Shaved-Ice recommends using a 3 to 1 ratio. Three-parts water and one-part flavored syrup.
For example, if you are using the Bunn Ultra-2 Slush Machine with two 3-gallon hoppers you would fill each hopper with 2 ¼ gallons of water and ¾ gallon of syrup [please review your machines owner’s manual for usage and safety tips]. However, if you sample the slush and decide it has too much flavor simply add a little water, or maybe it tastes watered down then add a little flavor. You be the judge.
